vConstruct, a Pune based international engineering and construction services firm seeks process- oriented individuals who are willing to build a career in Business Development for the rapidly growing industry of Construction Technology.
We are looking for candidates who are good team players, can plan and achieve the sales goals & targets, maintain consistency in customer relations and are good communicators with the leadership and internal regional operations teams. Candidate should possess academic background in Business Development (BD) or Construction Management and exposure to Architecture & Construction Lifecycle or Virtual Design and Construction Implementation in projects.
The Sr. Business Development Associate will:
• Familiarize with the company's vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and objective
• Be responsible for increasing the adoption of our services in assigned market, typically a geography or account of customer
• Manage project execution plan and budgeting process with stakeholders of customer
• Lead and participate in business strategy meetings with different customer stakeholders (Ops, Precon, Integration Managers, Estimators, Business Development, PE, PM, PX, SPW, SSG groups etc.)
• Manage the successful engagement and delivery of services alongside Operations Leads
• Collate and maintain pursuits and project information in the internal (CRM+ERP) database
• Manage sales strategies and client repetition plans for the assigned market
• Analyze sales data to inform or update marketing strategies
• Work with other members of the BD team to share and cross-pollinate best practices
• Manage the contracts for services with clients and manage the changes Orders
• Manage the invoicing process across the lifecycle of engagement
• Periodically report out the adoption metrics with Operations Leads and Influencers with customers
Sales & Outreach:
• Work towards consistently meeting revenue plan of assigned market
• Analyze KPI metrics to gain early insights on adoption of services and develop actions plans to correct the trend
• Establish a relation of trust with the project leaders of customer
• Set-up a regular cadence for continued interface with the relevant customer stakeholders
• Reach out to relevant customer stakeholders via phone call and/or email by analyzing leads from the pipeline
• Gather and synthesize QA QC feedback and lessons learned from customers and work with relevant operations stakeholders to incorporate them
• Sending periodic newsletters, blogs, emails to the regional groups
• Manage the annual business planning process for assigned market by collaborating with BD team members, operations leads and owner stake holders
Market Research:
• Review and gather insights from customer’s pipeline
• Build and share stakeholder insights for your focused market
• Regularly coordinate with the relevant stakeholders to gain insights on customer’s pipeline and new projects
• Identify potential enhancement areas in current workflows/ processes and develop them with the needs of the Business Units or Workgroups
• Initiate and assist in strategizing integrated workflows between various service teams to solve unique challenges – bringing the voice of the project and workgroups to the SMEs
Financial Control
• Be responsible for contracting and invoicing workflows for assigned market
• Ensure correctness of generated invoices. QA/QC invoices with Finance & Accounting team and resolve gaps
• Follow-up with operations and project leaders on over-due invoices for timely resolution
• Build the understanding of stakeholders and functioning of various functional and business groups of customers. Leverage the knowledge to recommend the relevant engagement model for the opportunities
• Provide insight around pipeline, project kick-off timeline and priority to assist Operations Leads with resource planning
People Practice:
• Influence the work culture tenets with the immediate and extended teams
• Acknowledge, Recognize & Appreciate the success and work with them on improving the deltass.
• Facilitate crucial conversations with internal and external stakeholders to derive relevant alignment for effective business engagement
• Effectively collaborate and contribute to team development initiatives of the BD team and company at large
• Lead and participate in trainings of new BD team members
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Core Skills:
• Master’s degree in business management or Construction Management
• 5-7 years of experience with VDC Implementation and/or Business development for Construction Technology services
• Candidates with bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering with relevant experience and exposure can also apply
• Prior exposure to managing and/or implementing processes in cross-functional team structure is plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills, excelling at developing relationships
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
• Proficient with analyzing and synthesizing data using BI dashboards
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
• A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.
