vConstruct, a Pune based Construction Technology company seeks process-oriented individuals with academic or professional background in Civil Engineering/ Architecture for the role of Reality Capture Specialist.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have an interest in Construction Technology and want to build a career in Reality Capture workflows. These individuals are expected to have an eye for detail and understanding of Survey and Construction. Upon successful joining, the individual will be provided with initial training courses and on-the-job training to help them succeed in this role.

Responsibility and Focus Areas:

The candidate is accountable to create high quality deliverables and outputs on schedule, act independently to manage the assigned work and deliverables, work closely with project lead and project manager to plan project implementation. Indicative responsibilities include:

• Develop accurate models based on the point clouds or redline drawings using parametric or solid objects which may include building systems like mechanical, electrical, and plumbing and fire protection systems with core and shell.
• Proficiency in scan registration software’s like Faro Scene, Leica Register 360, Trimble Realworks etc. Includes registration (target based, cloud to cloud), adding control points from survey data or CADs available, scan cleanup and analysis such as contours, volume calculations etc.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design drawings, single line diagrams, riser diagrams etc.
• Leveraging the MEP systems knowledge to resolve any conflicts in as-built condition, and flag critical issues to the client.
• Produce dimensioned as-built plans and drawings for site coordination.
• Ability to perform various Quality Checks on the Models to validate models for following points:
• Model accuracy and completeness
• Alignment based on design model and design documents.
• Model sanity: no duplication of data, no errors and omissions, continuity of systems between the different points of connection.
• Ability to compare 2D and 3D data between the different versions to identify what has changed over a period between the files.
• Ability to read and understand RFIs and then provide suitable response to project teams.
• Generated Mesh Models and Classification from Laser Scan Data
• Ability to analyze and modify data from BIM in tools like MS Access Database, Excel spreadsheet, XML editors.
• Basic Understanding or willingness to explore Dynamo Scripts, html, Python etc.

• Quality Assurance - Check the quality of work for accuracy before submissions to client teams. Meet quality metrics established for project.
• Understanding any new Scope of work, processes and platforms coming up with a workflow and documenting it once approved with the project team. Can be followed by training concerning team members.
• Creating/developing best practices and workflow and sharing them with team members
• Training and coaching other team members, doing technical training of new hires.
• Ability to learn quickly and independently with minimal supervision.
• A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude

• Familiarity with construction documents and terminology
• With an outlook to find ways for innovation, optimization in day-to-day tasks.

Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented, collaborative team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:

• Passion for construction processes, BIM and relevant tools and construction technology.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Architecture, Construction Management, or closely related field. (or) Diploma in MEP design with 0-3 years of experience.
• Basic/Intermediate understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, structural, and civil construction   documents.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with client relation management a plus.
• Proficiency in following Softwares –
• Model Authoring Softwares such as, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD.
• Scan Registration Softwares such as, Recap Pro, Faro Scene, Leica Cyclone 360.
